At Quick Serve Process Serving, we understand the importance of timely service. We strive to serve all documents as quickly as possible, typically within 24 hours. However, some people hide and the process can take a few days.
If service is not successful after 4–6 documented attempts at up to two local addresses, we will promptly notify you and provide a detailed status update outlining the dates, times, and observations from each attempt. At that point, we will discuss next steps, which may include:

- Leaving Documents at their address and sending a second Copy Via Certified Mail
- Any other method allowed by the judge.

I make 4–6 service attempts per assignment. Attempts are made on different days and at varying times to increase the likelihood of successful service.

Yes, but access must be lawfully granted. Under California law, a registered process server does not have automatic authority to enter gated or guarded communities.
